Yes I agree with you about taking a green field site. The architects must realise the problems with a custom building, specifically for Neals Yard, i.e. that it won't be much use for anyone else, once they've done with it.
They are a national company selling natural remedies for all kinds of ailments. You can buy a franchise, (like MacDonalds), so I don't think a London location made much difference. They have tried to create a sustainable HQ and factory, but have they failed to do what they set out to do or are we still in a trial and error phase of green building?
